Telme is an app for tablets designed to help improve the communication skills of children with a language disorder. The app, developed by the company Helm for the Open University of Catalonia, displays different words that the user then has to repeat.

Once they have repeated the word, the child is shown a video in which the word is pronounced correctly. Backed by scientific studies, the app shows the user how a mouth on their own face correctly pronounces the word, which improves the child’s understanding of how the word should be pronounced.

We worked with Helm and created the graphic part of the project, from the children’s illustrations of the characters and the pictograms for the different sections, to the design of the app’s UI, all with the little ones in mind.
